How this works
This is standard agronomy math applied to a food plot instead of a farm field: multiply whatever per-acre rate your soil test (or seed bag) recommends by your actual plot size to get the total product needed, and separately work out how many acres one full sprayer tank will cover so you know how much herbicide or other product to mix into each tank.
Why soil testing pays for itself
Lime and fertilizer needs vary enormously by existing soil pH and nutrient levels — applying a generic rate without testing can badly under- or over-treat a plot. A soil test tells you the actual rates to plug into this calculator, turning a guess into a real plan.

What if my soil test gives lime in a different unit?
Convert it to pounds per acre before entering it here — most soil test reports already use that unit, but double-check since some report lime needs in tons per acre instead.
